According to WestHamFans.Org, West Ham are very much interested in bringing Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger to the London Stadium.

David Moyes wants to bolster his defence this January with Angelo Ogbonna ruled out of the campaign due to injury, and the Blues could be forced to sell the 49-cap Germany international, 28, as opposed to losing him for nothing once his contract expires in the summer.

They have already offered Rudiger a contract worth £150,000-a-week, but he is holding out for £200,000-a-week, and the Hammers could look to use the situation to their advantage, with the East Londoners already expressing interest.

We asked our esteemed panel of West Ham Super Fans over on Facebook whether they would have the Champions League winner snapped up, and while some baulked at his personal demands, most of them want him.

Here is how they reacted.

Worth every penny?

The Hammers are not likely to get Rudiger in the winter transfer window as the Premier League leaders cannot afford to lose one of the best defenders in the world at the moment.

Rudiger is one of the major reasons why Chelsea have shipped just four goals in 12 games this term, and he definitely will be a solid addition for any team.

With both sides unable to agree to the terms of a deal, he is set to leave for free at the end of the campaign, and landing such a player for nothing would be a massive bargain.

Clubs will be willing to pay him £200,000 a week, and the Hammers should not hesitate to throw their name into the hat.

Should they secure Champions League football for next season, Rudiger could be attracted to the ongoing project under Moyes, and a chance to continue living in London surely makes such a move the more appealing.

Landing such a player would be tough for the Irons, but it should not be ruled out as most people viewed Kurt Zouma out of their reach before they swooped.

In other West Ham news, an amazing attacker is making personal arrangements for Hammers switch in January.
