West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek helped draw his side level against Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday as they ran out 3-1 winners.

The Hammers found themselves trailing to the Hornets four minutes into the game, but things changed before the first half ended, and Declan Rice was delighted as his teammate grabbed a goal, taking to his personal Twitter account to react instantly.

Said Benrahma put David Moyes’ men ahead minutes after before Mark Noble scored from the spot in the second half, and bagging all three points today (28 December) would have been very relieving for West Ham.

Top performance

Soucek was deployed alongside Mark Noble in the middle of the park after Rice missed the game due to a suspension, and he was able to attack more.

He notched his third goal of the 2021-22 Premier League campaign, and hopefully, that will get him kicking on after his dip in form.

The Czech Republic international has been below par this season, but he reminded everyone of his attacking qualities against Watford, and finding the back of the net would have surely boosted his morale.

West Ham have struggled of recent, and Soucek’s lack of consistency has contributed to that.

The Watford victory and his goal have come at the right time, and David Moyes needs the midfielder to return to his best sooner rather than later.

The Hammers visit Crystal Palace on New Year day before games against Leeds United and Manchester United, and winning all three games is possible if Soucek starts firing on all cylinders again.

In other West Ham news, an amazing attacker is making personal arrangements for Hammers switch in January.
