ExWHUemployee has shut down reports linking West Ham United with a move for Wolves star Adama Traore this month.

The Telegraph has reported this week that the Irons are interested in the Spaniard, and a £20million fee could be enough.

Ex has insisted that the fee is a huge risk and that the only way a move would become feasible would be if it started as a loan switch.

Writing in his latest transfer update for the West Ham Way Patreon, Ex responded to those links with Traore this month.

“I don’t believe there is any serious interest in Traore at this point for that price,” he wrote.

“In the past, the club have held an interest in the player previously but I don’t believe he is a name that Moyes has mentioned recently and he is also out of favour at Wolves after an unproductive season, so I doubt the club would wish to risk £20m and high wages on an out of form player.

“Should a loan deal be available this may change things but at this point, I do not believe he is a target.”

Big risk.

Traore gets people out of their seats wherever he is playing, but his end product is simply shocking, there is no hiding that.

Spending £20million on a player who has yet to register a single goal or assist in 17 Premier League appearances would be foolish.

A loan move may make sense though, as it could push Traore to prove himself even further and earn a move to a side competing in and pushing for European football every season.

David Moyes has worked magic with numerous signings, and it could take a big move for the winger to really start finding that end product.

Time will tell as January goes on, but we’re certainly putting this one in the unlikely category for now – things can change very quickly in January, though.
