West Ham have not received any approach from Manchester United to speak to David Moyes, according to ExWHUemployee.
According to Global 247 News, the Manchester outfit approached the Hammers for Moyes after they announced that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was relieved of his duties.
However, these claims have been quashed by the reliable West Ham insider, who admits nothing of this sort has happened.
He said, “There are reports emerging today that David Sullivan has turned down an approach from Manchester United to talk to David Moyes about the vacant manager post at Old Trafford.
“I can confirm that this is rubbish and no such approach has been made to the club.”
Manchester United do not seem like a club that are willing to admit they’ve previously got it wrong.
They barely gave the Scotsman a chance to prove his credentials and did not back him in the transfer windows either.
It’s no surprise that his reign there ended in abject failure, but he has since enjoyed a resurgence and proved that Sir Alex Ferguson made the right choice.
We knew that there wasn’t much to the alleged approach and even if Man United had made one, there’s no chance the club would agree to let go.
Moyes too, would not go back to the club that left him embarrassed and he would not enjoy the stability and control there like he does at the London Stadium.
Looking at the Premier League table, he would not want to take a step down either as he’s looking to guide West Ham to the Champions League.
