West Ham man Ben Johnson is being monitored by several Premier League and European clubs, according to a new report.

The Evening Standard report that the 21-year-old has drawn the attention of many clubs after a blistering start to the season.

The right-back’s contract expires at the London Stadium at the end of the season, but the Hammers have a two-year extension which they can trigger.

They are also planning to open formal talks, and perhaps this interest could speed up those discussions [Claret & Hugh].

No surprise clubs are keen on Johnson.

After Vladimir Coufal suffered an injury, the 21-year-old was handed his chance in David MoyesPremier League team.

However, even since the 29-year-old has returned to fitness Johnson has kept his place, which shows just how good he has been.

Since he has come into the team, the Irons are unbeaten in the league, and he has earned an average WhoScored rating of 7.18, which is fantastic.

Now, no clubs are named in this report, but given his contract situation, it is no surprise to see so many clubs keen on Johnson after his blistering start to the campaign.

Hopefully, he stays and signs a new deal, but this report suggests that other clubs are sitting up and taking notice.

Therefore, it is time for the Hammers to reward him properly and sort out a new deal because he could be with the club for a long time.
