West Ham United continued their fantastic form in the Premier League on Sunday, beating Aston Villa 4-1.

After Ezri Konsa was sent off with the score at 2-1, it became quite easy for the Irons to establish their dominance.

Despite that, Jarrod Bowen and his fellow attackers were consistently sprinting back to stop any counter attacks and Chris Wilder was left stunned.

Speaking on Match of the Day 2, Wilder singled out the former Hull man for his ability to get back with no questions asked.

Jarrod Bowen, this is incredible,” he said.

“This is why they do them box-to-box runs on a Tuesday afternoon. He recovers, they get back into their shape, they make it difficult for Aston Villa.

“He tucks in, they’re nice and narrow and there’s nowhere really for them to go, they try and force it, and off you go again.

“This is work ethic, it’s not asked, it’s a given.”

Bowen has been the most consistent player for the Irons all season, and his scintillating form as a result of that is no surprise.

David Moyes has rotated his squad heavily in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League, but it is no surprise to see that Bowen keeps his spot every single time.

Grabbing another goal yesterday was exactly what the winger deserved, but if we’re being slightly critical like he will be with himself, he should have scored more.

Thankfully, Pablo Fornals was there to score the rebound and it still ended with a goal and some wild celebrations after he missed one clear-cut chance.

Bowen epitomises everything at the club right now, that ability to do your job without complaints – something he does perfectly.

Long may this continue.
