Lewis Jones has backed West Ham United to take a point in their Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

The Sky Sports expert has predicted that it will finish 2-2 at the London Stadium with goals galore expected.

David Moyes will be hoping for a positive result to take into the international break after a brilliant run in the latest batch of fixtures.

Writing in his Sky Sports predictions column, Jones is clearly anticipating one of the games of the season in the Premier League.

“This will be a must-watch,” he wrote. “West Ham are on the cusp of becoming a Premier League force to be properly reckoned with.

“There is a major hurdle to overcome though: beating a top-four rival. When you throw all that together, this has all the credentials of being an absolute stonking football match with goals and shots galore.”

Take it?

The Hammers can overtake Liverpool with a win, although it won’t be the worst thing if we leave with a draw.

Jurgen Klopp has got his men playing some sensational stuff in recent weeks, easily breezing past Atletico Madrid twice and that huge win against Manchester United.

It will be a much harder task at the London Stadium, and that is something that Moyes and the Irons guarantee to any opponent.

There were defensive frailties to work on after the draw at Genk, but that squad was rotated and a full-strength team will be much more solid.

Liverpool can be fragile if you get at them, and it will be down to the likes of Michail Antonio to make a real difference here – bring it on.
