Michael Owen fancies West Ham beating Burnley on Sunday in the Premier League, predicting a 2-1 win for them.

The Hammers are on the back of an impressive win against rivals and title contenders Chelsea, while the Clarets are battling relegation and sit in the bottom three.

That appears to be enough for the former Liverpool player as he’s backing Sean Dyche’s men to lose against David Moyes’ high-flying side.

He told Bet Victor, “Burnley didn’t play badly in the defeat to Newcastle last week, but they didn’t create enough. That’s something that will need to get addressed, fast.

“What a win that was for the Hammers last week. They had gone a few games without a win, so to respond with the win against Chelsea was superb.

“Was Masuaku’s goal a shot or a cross? I’m sure David Moyes won’t care one bit!

“I fancy West Ham to build on that win with another win here.”

Easy win incoming?

We expect the Hammers to pile onto Burnley’s misery and ensure that they maintain their top-four status.

Moyes’ side have continued last season’s form and have continued to challenge the established “big six” for the European places.

So far they have done a fantastic job of it and we’re hoping that complacency does not kick in.

These are the ideal games for them to seize possession and play the contest on their own terms.

However, Moyes will inform his players to be prepared for a physical encounter against Dyche’s rugged Burnley side.

Regardless, we expect this to be a fascinating contest with West Ham picking up three points.
