West Ham are without a win in three consecutive games after managing a 1-1 draw against Brighton in the Premier League clash on Wednesday night at the London Stadium.
Football London journalist Tom Clark has shared on Twitter that Declan Rice immediately headed straight to the fans after the game to give his shirt away.
Rice has been outstanding during the game for the Hammers but a late goal from Neal Maupay denied them a victory.
Clark wrote on Twitter: “Declan Rice headed straight to the fans to hand over his shirt at the final whistle”
It is a brilliant gesture once again from the West Ham skipper who acknowledged the fans for their tremendous support.
The Hammers took the lead inside five minutes through Tomas Soucek, but as the game progressed they allowed the visitors to crawl back into the game.
In the second half, Brighton created some very good opportunities but the West Ham defence stayed resolute.
However, an acrobatic finish from Maupay earned a 1-1 draw for the visitors in the end.
Rice was superb, as usual. He drove forward from deep midfield, adding energy and pace, something he has been doing consistently this season.
Along with Soucek in midfield, the pair added steal and stability. However, the killer touch was missing, and the Hammers had to pay their price.
In other West Ham news, the Hammers are one of a number of teams chasing this £30m-rated striker.
