West Ham have received 2miilion Euros [£1.7million] for reaching the next round of the Europa League and finishing top of the group.

Claret & Hugh claim that the Irons have added a little bit more money to their earnings from the Europa League this season thanks to these two impressive achievements.

The Hammers have blown their group away and are unbeaten and have won four and drawn the other of their five games so far.

Top spot was sealed on Thursday night thanks to a 2-0 away win against Rapid Vienna, and you have to say the Irons look like they could be a match for anyone.

A nice little boost to top off a ridiculous campaign.

When many Irons fans saw the group, we can imagine that they were confident of qualifying, but we wonder how many thought it would be so easy.

The Irons were facing some tricky teams in Genk and Dinamo Zagreb, but none of them have been a problem, and they have comfortably and deservedly topped the group.

Defensively, they have been superb and have only conceded two goals, while they have scored at least two in each game.

Therefore, this little financial reward is the least they deserve really.

The only shame is that no fans were allowed to Vienna to watch the game and see the Irons seal the top spot in the group.

However, we are sure that they all enjoyed it at home or in the pub and they know that the European adventure isn’t over, which is just fantastic and it will be fascinating to see who they get in the next round.

In other West Ham news, David Moyes was stunned by the display of one Irons man on Thursday.
