Simon Jordan has told David Sullivan and David Gold to take the money and run as the West Ham takeover talk rumbles on.

Speaking on talkSPORT about Daniel Kretinsky’s attempts to acquire a minority stake in the Irons, Jordan aimed a swipe at the Irons fans [Sky Sports].

He claimed that the fans would never change their opinion of the board, so Gold and Sullivan should allow Kretinsky to buy the club.

𝗝𝗪: “Should #WHUFC cash out?”

𝗦𝗝: “I would run like a bandit! They won’t change the perspective of people.”

𝗦𝗝: “But think if West Ham continue theirs progress, £600m maybe be below.”

He said: “If I had listened to what they listened to [from Hammers fans], I would run like a bandit because some of it is fair and some of it is not.

“They’re never going to change the perspective of people, it will always be ‘we’ll support the team, we’ll support David Moyes, but David Gold and David Sullivan can do one’, as far as the fans are concerned.’”

Interesting claims from Jordan.

Ultimately, many West Ham fans have had huge problems with the owners because there have been so many unfulfilled promises [Hammers United].

It wasn’t even that long ago that many Irons fans invaded the pitch to protest against the board, so you can see why people are unhappy [Mirror].

Yes, there have been improvements over the last year, but you would think Sullivan and Gold should just take the money and allow Kretinsky to complete a full takeover of the club.

This would be good for them as they would make a huge amount of money, and the Irons can look ahead to a bright future under a new owner.

So, we will have to see what happens, but we do believe that the best thing that Sullivan and Gold can do is to take the money and get out.

There is no need for them to be at the London Stadium any longer.
