Kurt Zouma handed his match jersey to a West Ham supporter after guiding his side to an impressive 3-2 win over Liverpool on Sunday.
In what was billed as one of David Moyes’ toughest tests of the season, the Scotsman came out with flying colours.
Despite conceding two goals, Zouma had an impressive outing at the London Stadium and already appears to have become one of the fan favourites.
Football London’s Thomas Clark shared a video via his personal Twitter account and captioned it, “Mr. Popular”.
Zouma has proven time and again why he was Moyes’ preferred option this summer.
For the longest time, it seemed that Nikola Milenkovic would be the one walking through the door at the London Stadium/
However, that did not happen and instead, Zouma, who had a number of years of Premier League experience, was signed.
He’s taken to life in East London like a fish to water and has fitted in seamlessly into the back line.
Zouma’s built a rapport with not just the fans, but also his teammates and it looks like he’s been playing in this West Ham side for years.
Sure, there is room for improvement, but Moyes could not have asked for more in the first couple of months from the Frenchman.
