West Ham striker Michail Antonio has aimed a thinly-veiled joke at Liverpool duo Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold in an advert with Porsche.
The Hammers ace, his teammate Jarrod Bowen and Wycombe Wanderers powerhouse Adebayo Akinfenwa featured on Wingmen 2 season 2, discussing their respective careers.
The aforementioned Reds duo headlined season 1, and the Jamaican international, 31, playfully called them test drivers when the Liverpool-supporting Akinfenwa gave them a shout out for appearing on the debut episode.
The striker said, as shared on his Instagram account: “Robbo and Trent. They did their thing, I’m not going to lie. But they are Liverpool men, so don’t say nothing about them.”
Antonio replied: “They were test drivers.”
The West Ham ace never hesitates to bring the funny side out of everything, and he was not going to miss an opportunity to make fun of his Premier League rivals when he had the chance.
Antonio has been in fine form this term, bagging six goals and weighing in with three assists in eight Premier League appearances so far.
He has since emerged as the Hammers’ highest goal scorer in the history of the English top-flight, and he will be looking to fire the team into Europe again and help end their trophy drought.
West Ham host Liverpool on November 7th in a clash that could have a say on the top-four race going forward, and both Robertson and Alexander-Arnold will be looking to stop Antonio from scoring.
The Reds are currently in second place in the table, with just four points between them and fourth-placed West Ham after nine games.
In other West Ham news, Trevor Sinclair has made Hammers ace transfer admission after Alex Ferguson was left shell-shocked.
