The rise of West Ham United in the last two years has been a much-needed boost for Hammers fans and a large part of that success and progress can be attributed to the board.

ExWHUemployee on Twitter hailed the club’s non-playing staff from top to bottom off the back of an article from Integral Sports Management on the benefits of the backroom staff.

Things have taken an upturn since Danie Kretinsky joined owners David Sullivan and David Gold in November.

“I think West Ham have got it spot on,” ExWHUemployee tweeted.

“A mixture of former players who understand the club and have management experience, highly rated coaches-working for the National team too and trusted loyal supporters of (David) Moyes.”

Totally agree. I think West Ham have got it spot on. A mixture of former players who understand the club and have management experience, highly rated coaches-working for the National team too and trusted loyal supporters of Moyes https://t.co/fS0SUwoB7g

The only way is up

It might seem ridiculous to think given the Hammers’ currently placing fifth in the Premier League. but you just can’t see them dropping off.

The way the club has been revitalised under David Moyes is nothing short of admirable and Irons fans are likely to be among the happiest in England.

And while it has been Moyes who has taken much of the credit for the team’s fantastic 18 months, it is the board who has let him do what he needed to turn things around at the London Stadium.

Sullivan and Gold have allowed the Scot to bring in his own coaching team while adding in some of their own local knowledge which has blended together remarkably well.

The recruitment has also been a revelation since Moyes’ arrival and Daniel Kretinsky’s involvement with Czech side Sparta Prague has seen relations between the two clubs tighten following the signings of Vladimir Coufal, Tomas Soucek and most recently Alex Kral.

In other West Ham news, Declan Rice has made it onto a list including football’s biggest names.
