West Ham United are still among a number of Europe’s biggest clubs tracking Sparta Prague forward Adam Hlozek.
The Czech sensation has been watched by the Irons for almost a year, and it looks as though January could see them strike.
90min journalist Toby Cudworth has shared that Daniel Kretinsky owning shares in both clubs could “sway” things in favour of the Hammers.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Cudworth shared the latest as we approach January next month.
“West Ham also continuing pursuit of Adam Hlozek,” he wrote.
“A stack of big clubs around Europe want him but the Kretinsky connection may sway things.”
It has been made very clear in recent weeks that this is the one month that West Ham simply have to prioritise next month.
Michail Antonio has been simply superb in the final third since the start of last season, but he cannot do it all by himself.
There have been question marks surrounding his form, but no one is bringing into the play the fact that he has been forced to do it all by himself at times.
Hlozek would finally give him someone to rival for the spot upfront, and it would also push him to become even better to make sure that he remains number one.
The Czech international is young, hungry and was involved in 26 goals in his 19 appearances in the league last season.
What a record that is, and it is clear that he is ready for the next step – let’s hope that Krentinsky sanctions this move and gets it over the line.
