On Thursday, West Ham are set to rest numerous players for their final Europa League game against Dinamo Zagreb.
Knees Up Mother Brown claim that youngsters such as Sonny Perkins and Jamal Baptiste are set to be involved in the senior squad.
Five regulars for the Irons’ Under-23s were also withdrawn from the game on Monday against Crystal Palace, and so the likes of Emmanuel Longelo and Harrison Ashby are also expected to be involved.
It would be great to see David Moyes do this and throw in some of these players. We could be looking at the next Declan Rice or Ben Johnson, so it would be fantastic to see these lads involved.
Big week ahead for the young Hammers.
This could be a fantastic opportunity for these young players to stamp their authority and try to emulate Johnson and Rice by making that breakthrough.
Irons fans love to see young players in the claret & blue, and it would be great to see Perkins and Baptiste, especially as they look like serious talents.
Ultimately, the Irons have cruised through their group, and ahead of a packed festive schedule, the Irons need to rest the likes of Michail Antonio and Tomas Soucek when they get the chance.
This is the perfect chance to do that, and we are looking forward to seeing what David Moyes decides to do.
Now, he can’t just play a team full of youngsters, but he can certainly play a few, and the more senior players can guide them through the game.
The home crowd should also be very excited about seeing some new faces, and this Zagreb game is the perfect opportunity to do this.
