West Ham want to sign Aaron Ramsey from Juventus in January and are interested in ‘finding out the package details’, according to Eurosport.

The Hammers have enjoyed a great season under David Moyes, currently sitting in fifth place in the Premier League just five points off the top four while also qualifying for the knockout rounds of the Europa League.

But injuries have seen their form suffer recently and the club are now interested in making a move to bolster the squad in January.

According to a report from Eurosport, Ramsey is a target that is interesting the Hammers and the club ‘are interested in finding out the package details’ that would take him away from Juventus, who are ready to sell him for a “low fee”.

With just 18 months remaining on his contract at the Serie A club, they’re hopeful that a cut-price deal could potentially be secured that would bring the Welshman back to the Premier League.

Deal of interest

Ramsey has failed to make an impact during his time in Serie A with Juventus since leaving Arsenal back in 2019.

Once described as ‘special‘ by Arsene Wenger, he has featured just five times for the Turin club this season and is not in the plans of manager Max Allegri at all.

With Mark Noble retiring at the end of the season for the Hammers and Alex Kral yet to assert himself on the team under Moyes, the team could do with some midfield reinforcements and Ramsey is a very experienced option.

He has done well in the Premier League before, is used to playing in a system similar to Moyes’ at international level with Wales and would bring a winning mentality to the team that nobody else possesses having won league titles and cups during his career.

If Moyes and West Ham can find a deal that suits all parties and bring him to the London Stadium, then it’s a signing that will only improve them and has very little downside to it.
