West Ham are one of the clubs being kept informed of the situation of Adama Traore at Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to 90min.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping tabs on the Spain international attacking midfielder, 25, with manager Bruno Lage now sanctioning his exit.

Traore could not leave Molineux Stadium last summer due to the then asking price of £50million, but the transfer fee has dropped significantly after the forward rejected a number of fresh contracts.

No progress has been made since, and Wolves are now happy to let him leave during the January transfer window, with the Hammers monitoring things.

Good option?

West Ham want to strengthen their squad this winter, and should Traore become available for a fee they can afford, they could be tempted to move.

The Spaniard’s versatility is something David Moyes could do with at the London Stadium, and it will be interesting to see whether they will firm up their interest with a bid.

The Barcelona academy graduate can play on both wings, as a striker, behind one and also as a wing-back, and that should come in very handy should a move to the Hammers work.

The 2019-20 campaign was the last time he impressed in front of goal, though, with four Premier League goals and nine assists to his name.

Since then, Traore has only managed two goals and two assists in 55 league games, and that is not likely to impress the Irons faithful.

Moyes would love to land another attacker with Said Benrahma currently on international duty with Algeria at the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, West Ham would want someone that can make the type of impact Jesse Lingard made during the second half of 2020-21, and whether Traore can do that is unknown.

In other West Ham news, an amazing attacker is making personal arrangements for Hammers switch in January.
