Chelsea under-18 skipper Josh Tobin and Arsenal’s Max Jolliffe are currently on trial at West Ham alongside Leon Boyd, according to ExWHUemployee.
The club recently signed Boyd’s former teammate at Linfield, Callum Marshall, and the 16-year-old could be next should he impress, reports the reliable Hammers insider.
He claimed on the West Ham Way Patreon that Blues defensive midfielder Tobin, 18, and Gunners schoolboy Jolliffe are looking to impress the youth team coaches too in a bid to seal moves to the London Stadium.
Boyd is one of Northern Ireland’s hottest prospects, and the Irons are looking to strengthen their academy for the future.
The Linfield kid expectedly does not have a lot of hype surrounding him, but the fact that he has been linked with other Premier League sides speaks volumes.
He can play in a number of positions across the frontline, has pace to burn and boasts of loads of tricks, and he made his Northern Ireland Under-17 debut in the summer despite only recently turning 16.
West Ham could be saving themselves millions going forward by landing such a potential superstar, and snapping up teenagers from Chelsea and Arsenal could end up being smart moves.
Declan Rice has become one of the forces to reckon with in his position since moving to the Irons academy after his release from the Blues academy, and both Tobin and Jolliffe will be keen to follow suit.
David Moyes never hesitates to give the youngsters a chance in the first-team if they prove themselves, and the aforementioned trio will be hoping to get a quicker pathway to first-team football at West Ham.
