David Moyes wants to be reunited with former player Adnan Januzaj in January as West Ham look to sign him from Real Sociedad, according to Calciomercato.

Moyes and Januzaj worked together during his single year at Manchester United in 2013/14, where the Belgian was the stand-out player in a poor campaign that saw him sacked after eight months.

But after spells at Dortmund and Sunderland on loan, Januzaj has found a home at Real Sociedad in La Liga.

But after making ten starts in La Liga this season for the Spanish outfit, the once described as “incredibleJanuzaj is looking to leave the club with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

According to Calciomercato, Januzaj is a target for both West Ham and Barcelona with a January move possible so that Sociedad can get some cash for the player rather than lose him for nothing in the summer.

A reunion between Januzaj and Moyes could be ideal for all parties with a cut-price deal providing the opportunity for a bargain.

Moyes helped the 26-year-old produce the best form of his career during their time together and while he hasn’t quite lived up to his potential he is still young enough to turn his career into something memorable.

West Ham have got plenty of attacking options, but with Lanzini on the shortlist of other clubs and Michail Antonio’s form not good recently, the addition of Januzaj could be a timely boost.

With great one-v-one ability, good speed, an excellent final ball and experience at the highest level he could end up being exactly the type of boost they need for the second half of the season to continue pushing for a Champions League place.

In other West Ham news, Hammers could make four changes for trip to Southampton.
