West Ham United played a number of young talents in the Europa League against Dinamo Zagreb this evening, but it was Harrison Ashby who caught the eye.

The young right-back was handed the chance by David Moyes with the likes of Vladimir Coufal currently the only 100% full-back in the senior side.

Martin Keown was left stunned by Ashby’s ability at the London Stadium, with his attacking work catching the eye.

Speaking during live commentary of the game on BT Sports, Keown was thrilled by Ashby and his ability down the right.

“Good play down the right from Ashby, he looks a player,” he said.

“What a skill set to deliver that type of ball. They look the part.”

Ashby was one of the standout sensations in the side this evening, and some of his touches were delightful on the eye.

The one that really impressed was when Mark Noble looked to have overhit a switch of play, but the young right-back plucked it down over his shoulder somehow.

As expected, there were moments when communication broke down with the likes of Alphonse Areola, with his entire back four academy players with who he has rarely played with.

Zagreb are a good side, though, make no mistakes, Mirslav Orsic proved that with his sensational goal, but Ashby dealt with him well enough in the opening 45 minutes.

Ashby certainly has a bright future ahead of him at the London Stadium, and we already can’t wait to see more down the line.
