Manchester United 1 – West Ham United 0

Rio Ferdinand had praise for West Ham despite losing 1-0 to Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford’s very late goal secured 3 points for the Red Devils, who have leapfrogged West Ham in the Premier League table, and into champions league places.

West Ham by no means had a bad match, and Rio Ferdinand offered some encouragement despite the result. He said on Twitter:

Rio Ferdinand praises West Ham despite loss

Ferdinand’s praise is both balanced, and fair. He praises the Hammers whilst recognising the significance of Manchester United’s result, and the individual performance of Marcus Rashford.

Such a shame

It is such a shame that West Ham have been overtaken in the Champions League places..but the season is far from over, and things will hopefully reverse again soon.

David Moyes is an excellent coach, the difference is that the standard of competing teams has also risen. However, with Moyes, there is massive experience, and if anyone can bring out the best from the Hammers, he can.
